About the Forecasting Project
Niaoniao You, EBRC Senior Economic Forecaster, plays a leading role in the Forecasting Project. She manages Arizona's state, county, and metropolitan area economic forecasts, including tax revenues projections for the Arizona Joint Legislative Budget Committee. Besides improving regional economic measurement and forecasting, her research focuses on household consumption, energy, and demographic change. By combining rigorous quantitative methods with practical policy applications, her work supports decision-making by communities across Arizona.
These forecasts and reports reach thousands of business leaders, policymakers and citizens each year through conferences, public presentations, publications, EBRC’s websites and social and traditional media. The Forecasting Project is frequently cited by local and national news services. Our analysis and commentary have been featured on NBC Nightly News, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Bloomberg Businessweek and The New York Times.
The Forecasting Project is part of the Economic Business Research Center led by Executive Director Jennifer Pullen.
